2007

IVI Murcia presents the first case in Spain of twins born free of Multiple Endocrine Neoplasia Type 2A (MEN2A).

In Vigo, Preimplantational Genetic Diagnosis (PGD) leads to the birth of a baby free of Norrie Syndrome – another world first.

IVI clinics obtain ISO 9001:2000 quality certification.

IVI Madrid is awarded the Serono Prize for Innovation, Quality and Image in Assisted Reproduction.

IVI opens the doors of its new center in Santiago do Chile, the first clinic of infertility of the country and at the end of year will open a clinic in Panama.



IVI Barcelona and the Association of Mucopolysaccharidosis Sufferers sign a Partnership Agreement.





The first babies conceived with frozen eggs are born.


 

2006

The year begins with the appointment of Dr. Pellicer as Dean of the Faculty of Medicine of the City of Valencia.

For the first time in history, IVI is able to diagnose familial hemophagocytic lymphohistiocytosis in embryos from a couple carrying the disease and to develop a healthy pregnancy.

In the summer, IVI Lisbon opens.





The Valencia College of Medicine awards Dr. Pellicer its Gold Medal.

Valencia City Council awards the Gold Medal of the City to IVI.


IVI holds the 1st IVI America Congress in Mexico City.

The first pregnancies by vitrification are achieved.

2005

A big celebration was held in Valencia’s river area for patients, VIPs, friends and IVI staff to commemorate 15 years since its foundation.



Opening of IVI Vigo.






IVI holds its 1st International Congress with more than 700 delegates from 34 countries.





With the opening of the IVI Alicante clinic the group now truly merits the name of Valencian Institute of Infertility.

IVI organises the second World Congress of Oocyte Donation.



King Jaime I Award for Clinical Medicine to Antonio Pellicer.

IVI’s scientific director, Prof. Carlos Simón and his team achieve the derivation of the first two stem cell lines in Spain: VAL1 and VAL2.

The Valencian Infertility Institute (IVI) becomes a University Institute attached to the University of Valencia. IVI thus becomes Valencia’s first privately-owned university institute.
